Drill press (a.k.a. column drill or pillar drill)

Unfortunately the beat-up cross slide vice that could be used for milling operations was not included and sold separately for more than I was willing to pay for it.

A25 + A28 V belts.  SKF bearings.

Tip: remove 2 of the 3 handles.

If you want to use a drill press for milling, you should replace the top and bottom standard roller bearings that center the spindle with (double row) angular bearings that can withstand side loads.

Angular contact ball bearings have inner and outer ring raceways that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads.

Planned modifications
1. Stop Pulley case rattle by sliding some slotted silicone hose over lip around perimeter.
2. Foot pedal switch power lead socket so you have both hands free to operate the machine.
