Quick notes

For the square shape with the arms in each corner (decap example):

  1. Draw a plane.
  2. Solidify
  3. Add a cylinder just outside one of the corners of the plane of the same thickness.
  4. [TAB] In see-through mode, select half the vertices and move them to the right.
  5. Using Median transform pivot, [S] [X] [0]
  6. Rotate the shape 45 degrees to point inward.
  7. (Exact) Boolean join to the main shape.
  8. XY Mirror to all four corners.
